We warmly congratulate Prof. Dr. Meike Stiesch on the ceremonial presentation of her membership certificate from the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
Having been elected to the Leopoldina in 2025, Prof. Stiesch received her membership certificate on June 17, 2026, during the Class III – Medicine Symposium in Halle (Saale). The certificate was presented by the President of the Leopoldina, Prof. Dr. Bettina Rockenbach.
Membership in the Leopoldina is among the highest scientific honors in Germany. Election to the Academy recognizes outstanding researchers whose exceptional scientific achievements and lasting contributions have significantly advanced their fields.
Through her pioneering research on biomaterials, implant-associated infections, and the development of innovative implant systems, Prof. Dr. Meike Stiesch has made major contributions to biomedical research. Her work has helped improve the safety and longevity of implants and has advanced patient care.
