On March 22, 2022, Capital published an exclusive interview with Prof. Dr. Meike Stiesch, Director of the Department of Dental Prosthetics and Biomedical Materials Science at Hannover Medical School (MHH) and spokesperson for SIIRI. In the interview, she provided insights into the groundbreaking research conducted by the SIIRI network, which focuses on the development of safety-critical and infection-reactive implants.
The interdisciplinary collaboration of engineers, natural scientists, and medical professionals within SIIRI enables the development of innovative solutions for future implants that not only enhance safety but can also react autonomously.
