We are pleased to welcome Dr.-Ing. Kevin Linka from the Hamburg University of Technology as a guest speaker at our upcoming Implant Lecture.
Kevin Linka is an Emmy Noether Junior Research Group Leader at the Institute of Continuum and Material Mechanics. Since October 2024, he has been leading the research group “Computational Soft Material Mechanics Intelligence,” which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
His work focuses on data-driven modeling of the mechanical behavior of soft materials and biological tissues. He combines methods from machine learning with classical continuum mechanics to develop powerful and physically consistent material models. The goal is not only to predict the behavior of these materials but also to understand how their properties can be deliberately influenced through structural changes.
His lecture is entitled:
“Predicting and Understanding Soft Tissue Mechanics by Data-Driven Material Modeling”
We would like to thank Prof. Dr.-Ing. Fadi Aldakheel, who will be moderating this event.
