On May 22, 2024, the next event of the SWS – Seminar Series for Women in Science will kick off. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Bärbel Miemietz, former Equal Opportunities Officer of the MHH. She will give a brief overview of the legal situation regarding diversity and equality in Germany and explain the Anti-Discrimination Act (AGG).

Our keynote speaker will be Prof. Dr. Cornelia Lee-Thedieck, Director of the Institute of Cell Biology and Biophysics at Leibniz University Hannover. In her talk, she will present her exciting research in cell biology and biophysics, while also sharing her personal career path. She will highlight the importance of support, collaboration, and personal motivation on the path to success.

After the lecture, we invite you to a get-together for discussion and networking.

SWS supports early-career women scientists by helping them network with experienced colleagues and further develop their career goals.

If you need childcare during the event, please let us know by contacting us at SIIRI@mh-hannover.de.

We look forward to your participation!
