We are delighted to welcome Professor Ken Gall, Ph.D., as guest speaker at our Implant Lecture.
Prof. Ken Gall, Ph.D.
Professor in the Thomas Lord Institute for Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science
Professor of Biomedical Engineering
Professor of Orthopedic Surgery
Duke University, North Carolina, USA
Prof. Gall is internationally recognized for his interdisciplinary research on functional materials, additive manufacturing, and orthopedic implants. A key focus of his research is the development of metallic and polymeric materials as well as additively manufactured porous structures that interact optimally with human bone, both mechanically and biologically. His research group investigates the interplay between microstructure, mechanical performance, and biological integration, particularly with regard to osseointegration, long-term stability, and patient-specific adaptability.
His lecture is entitled:
“Personalized, Osseointegrative, 3D Printed Orthopedic Implants”
The event will be moderated by Prof. Maier. We look forward to your participation and a stimulating scientific discussion.
