What will the medicine of tomorrow look like – and what do implants have to do with it?
At IdeenExpo 2026, we invite you to find out for yourself. Under the motto “SIIRI Implant Heroes: Healthy Future”, research becomes hands-on, exciting, and something you can truly experience.
In our interactive parcours, you’ll first match different implants to their functions in the human body and discover just how diverse modern medical technology already is today.
Then things get really exciting: in our infection detection buzzer game, quick reactions are key! Can you spot in time whether an implant is infected – and how well do you do in a race against the clock? It’s a fun way to understand why early diagnosis is so important in medicine.
Next, you’ll learn how future implants might even be able to actively fight infections themselves – for example by releasing drugs directly at the site where they’re needed.
And the best part: in our DIY workshop, you can create your own “SIIRI implant of the future” made from soap and take it home with you.
